Do you need a custom digital silk without the long lead times? Do you want to design your own flag, but do not own the software? DSI has made the process simple with their online software - Design Studio. You can use your own images, or choose from an extensive free library of royalty free images and graphics. Before you order - you can edit, collaborate, share on social media, etc.
These flags have the image printed on both sides. This allows 100% vibrancy. Bleed through flags lose 20% of their vibrancy on the opposite side.
Choosing An Image
Design studio offers over a million royalty free images. If you are using your own image, it is very important that you use high resolution, print quality (300 dpi) photos. If the image is not royalty free, you must have proper permission to use the image. Images that are found via search engine are usually 72 dpi (web quality). Web quality images DO NOT scale up or print to flags very well. We do not offer free reprints or refunds on designs using images that are below 300 dpi or have a small thumbnail sized pixel dimensions. If you are unsure of the image quality, please contact us for help before submitting your design. Once you submit your design, it goes straight to production. We do not review the image quality and we can not make changes.
Important Design Tip (please read)
Important! The design studio does display the bleed area (which gets trimmed off) Any critical parts of your image graphic should be in the live area, which is the furthest line from the edge (see product photo). The second line from the edge is the actual trim line. The area beyond the trim line is what will be cut off (1/2 inch of what you see on the display)
How To Order
1. Choose the quantity and check out using this product listing.
2. You will receive two invoices, one stating that payment is pending, and the 2nd one confirming payment was received.
3. Once you receive an invoice that has the payment status "paid online", write down that order number. If you used Paypal, we will email the order confirmation.
4. Go to the Design Studio to start your design! Click here
5. Once you are done with your custom design, check out and place the order in the design studio. Important! You must use your order number as the PO, and put "Smith Walbridge" as your dealer. This informs the printer that you paid for the order through us. If you do not do that, it can delay production of your flag.
Terms and Conditions
By ordering a flag through Design Studio, the customer agrees that it is not a returnable or refundable item. If the customer is providing an image outside the design studio library, the customer acknowledges that they have permission to use the image and that the photo meets image quality standards above. Smith Walbridge Band Products is not liable for any copyright infringement. Customer understands that any critical part of the flag graphics will be within the trim line, and the bleed area will get trimmed off. Colors displayed on a computer will not match the printed flag, as computers display in RGB and flags are printed in CMYK. Customers who who want to color match, are responsible for properly converting a PMS/Pantone colors to CMYK. Contact us before ordering if you need assistance in color calibrating. We can not refund or reprint flags over misunderstanding of the print and color process or the perception that the computer rendering will match the printed product.
